Our ESG commitment: It’s in our DNA

At the heart of our mission lies a firm belief: sustainability is not an initiative, it's a responsibility. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles are deeply embedded in our strategy, daily operations, and long-term vision. We don’t just aim to comply, we aim to lead.

Environmental impact: clean energy, real results

We take decisive action to reduce our environmental footprint by:

  • Accelerating the energy transition through local, renewable solar energy.
  • Investing in green technologies and enforcing sustainable sourcing and waste policies.
  • Driving down CO₂ emissions: Our PV installations operate with zero annual emissions, a stark contrast to the 195g CO₂/kWh average of conventional Flemish power stations (2022).
  • Promoting circularity: Solar panels we use are 99% recyclable. We pre-finance their recycling to ensure responsible end-of-life management.

Our solutions are critical to local climate adaptation, directly lowering emissions and making clean energy accessible, not just to the few, but to all.

Social responsibility: empowering people, building communities

We believe in the power of inclusive growth:

  • We hire, train, and employ refugees and disadvantaged individuals, partnering with organizations like Rising You and VDAB.
  • We actively provide full-time employment, continuous learning, and long-term career paths for diverse talent.
  • In Morocco, we bring energy to underserved, remote areas.
  • In Belgium, we support low-income households with secure, long-term, affordable energy.
  • We offer citizen participation models in large-scale energy projects, allowing locals to co-invest and benefit directly.

This is how we create social impact that lasts, one job, one household, and one community at a time.

Responsible supply chain: fair and transparent

We extend our values beyond our walls:

  • All suppliers are bound by a strict Code of Conduct and must provide certificates of origin.
  • We conduct regular audits and assessments, both internally and with third parties.
  • We ensure full supply chain due diligence, focused on labor rights, human rights, and ethical sourcing.

Governance: integrity through action

Our governance structure ensures transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct, guided by our core values: Purposefulness. Integrity. Transparency.

  • ESG oversight is ensured by an independent Board and a dedicated in-house ESG team.
  • Policies like our Whistleblower Procedure and Consumer Agreement are public and enforced.
  • We comply fully with EU regulations and are preparing for CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) by 2026, with all key data collection processes going live in 2025.

Tracking what matters

We’ve identified and monitor critical ESG metrics:

  • Environmental: GHG emissions (Scope 1 & 2), energy efficiency, waste, biodiversity, circular economy.
  • Social: Diversity, working conditions, social inclusion, rights of vulnerable groups.
  • Governance: Anti-corruption, whistleblower protection, ethical supply chain management.

Each area is owned by dedicated control owners to ensure accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Looking ahead

In 2024, we launched a dedicated ESG team to lead and coordinate all efforts across the Group. We will publish our first CSRD-aligned ESG report in 2026, covering data from the 2025 calendar year.

Our ambition is clear: to lead by example and build a resilient, future-ready business, for people, planet, and progress.
